1. Audio is Merle Haggard singing 'Listening To The Wind'.
2. 峨嵋山 Emeishan, Moth Eyebrow Mountain is a venerable Buddhist Mountain located in Sichuan, a two hour drive SW of Chengdu. It towers to over 10,000 feet and is dotted with Buddhist monasteries. A comfortable climb from the base to the top, with two overnight stays at monasteries takes three days. There are also buses making the two hour trip to just below the summit with transfer to a cable car which makes a one day trip, up and down, possible. But this is not the best way to experience the mountain.
Aside from the wonderful monasteries, the most famous sight on Emeishan is the 佛光 Foguang, Buddha's Halo which can be viewed from the 金頂, Ｇolden Summit, when the cloud formations are propitious.
