Fangshan is a mountain range, perhaps part of Beijing's Western Hills, about 50km southwest of Beijing proper. Home to the Peking Man site, Jia Dao's home town and the venerable Yunjusi, the temple where the Buddhist tripitaka is carved in thousands of stone slabs.

Image is of the Shangfangshan, Upper Fang Mountains viewed from Zhaokoudian town.
